MLC Publishing was established in 2009 in Denver, Colorado with the debut of its first cookbook A Well-Seasoned Kitchen. The cookbook brings the best of cooking and entertaining ideas to home cooks who cherish bringing together family and friends through delicious, easy and beautiful meals.

The book was written by a mother and daughter team, Sally Clayton and Lee Clayton Roper, who share a gift and love of home gourmet cooking and entertaining. In their cookbook debut, they concentrate on the types of dishes they like best – simple, delicious recipes for everyday meals and casual gatherings. The result of their collaboration is a contemporary take on classic dishes that win rave reviews and draw people to the table time and again.
