It’s time for a second cookbook to join the A Well-Seasoned Kitchen family,
and we’re looking to you – our friends and fans – to help us out!


We’re asking for people from all places and spaces across the US – high altitude, sea level, the Great Plains – to help us test the treasure trove of recipes we’ve gathered in preparation for our next collection. We want to make sure that the recipes work in a variety of kitchens – e.g., the directions are clear, the cook times and portion sizes are correct.

Your application to participate must be received no later than March 1, 2015. All feedback must be received by March 14th at 5pm MST.
In brief, here is what we’ll need you to do:

  1. Test three recipes that we will provide
  2. Make the recipe exactly as written.
  3. Make notes as you go along.
  4. You must make each recipe at least once. You have the option to test each recipe up to four times.
  5. If you’d like to modify the recipes after test one (prepared exactly as written), you can make any modifications you wish in testings two-four, but you must make notes indicating what you changed and why.
  6. Taste test the dish on a few people – family, friends, etc. and make note of their comments.
  7. Fill out the electronic evaluation form that we will provide.

Applying does not guarantee that you will be selected as a tester. We need people at various altitudes, with various levels of cooking ability to test the recipes, and have a limited number of slots available. If you are selected to participate, in thanks for helping us out you will receive a special gift from Lee, and be acknowledged in the new cookbook.

In addition, you will be able to pre-order signed copies of the new book at a 25% discount. Your purchased book(s) will be in the very first shipment delivered after the book comes out!
